Green Supply Chains provides synergies on green fuel- & electrification strategies from (inland) ports and greening strategies from regions affected by ports’ hinterland freight transport.
Market uptake will be supported by innovative ITS solutions developed by Circoé, enhancing the visibility of sustainable transport solutions, facilitating their operation, and improving connectivity between ports and their regional hinterlands.

A decision-support tool has been developed to compare multimodal scenarios with a 100% road-based scenario, highlighting the potential CO₂ savings achieved by connecting the region’s main hubs to inland hubs and ports.
