The project

HAFA, a fast-growing company, wanted to invest in a new warehouse and determine its storage space requirements in order to cover current volumes and integrate future commercial growth perspectives. HAFA also wanted to define the logistics strategy to be implemented to anticipate its projects and development outlook for distribution across France.

We worked on the following areas:
- Definition of the required surface areas for the future storage site, taking into account both the current situation and future growth perspectives.
- Redesign of the logistics distribution master plan from the production site through to customer delivery, including the potential use of intermediate depots.

Our results

Supported the selection of location options for the new warehouse.
- Determined the required storage surface area and storage methods, including racked storage versus block stacking.
- Defined the logistics network for distribution across France using the Transept Solver tool, including:

  • Scenario comparison, including transport costs and service levels.
  • Scalable and phased logistics network design.
  • Integration of delivery requirements.
  • Definition of management rules.
  • Preparation of the specifications for the logistics services tender.
